Rattlesnake Times Three

I went for a ride this morning on Santannah while it was a little cooler outside. When I came back I took Santannah's saddle off and put him away. I went next door to help Terri with trailer training her babies. I was gone for about an hour. When I came back I walked into the tack room,I had left the door open while I was gone, and a rattlesnake was stretched out across the floor. I shut the door and went up to the house to get Steve. I yelled over to Terri and her friend Bobby also came over. I checked the tack room and he had crawled all the way onto the carpet. I shut the door again and went to get my camera. When I came back he was slithering under the shelves by my cabinet. Bobby grabbed a rake and started pulling him out.
Once Bobby pulled him out Steve went after him with a hoe. He was quick and trying to get away. There were sparks flying where the hoe was connecting with the concrete.

Steve the snake killer strikes again. He managed to cut his head off. Bobby took the snake for the skin. This one was larger than the last.
I'm glad I walked into the tack room when I did. I would hate to think the snake would have crawled under the shelves and someone would have entered the tack room unaware.

Steve's Stupid Shocker- Warning

Okay Steve thinks he is sooooo funny! I quess he planned this for a few days after watching an episode of Americas Funniest Videos. If you know Steve, you know it is hard at times to determine if he is serious or not. He loves this but I must warn you that it is not for children! Sad but true, G-Mama had a little bit of a potty mouth and there is some violence. You need to watch the 2nd clip first. Don't let Steve know you thought this was funny! Can you believe he even set up a video camera........

Cote and G-Mama's Road Trip

Cote and I went to the Petrified Forrest to see Trey,Jenna and Spur. Trey has been working there this summer. We had a great time! Cote became a Junior Ranger while we were there. We got to see one of Trey's presentations. He does a fantastic job as you will see in my video clip. Jenna was a superb tour guide. Thanks guys we loved it!

Trey giving part of his presentation.

Cote took this picture of Agate Bridge. It is a natural bridge that was fortified against time early on. They don't do that anymore, they let nature take its course now. Cote takes an awesome picture.

Sitting on "Old Faithful"

We took a hike on Saturday morning to check out some petroglyths.
