Cruzin with the Hanks

We had a great time on our cruise with our good friends Brent and Judy Hanks. The pictures above and below were taken in Victoria BC. The flowers are so beautiful.

The corner market below was taken in Seattle,WA at Pikes Market Place.

The Space Needle in Seattle - 600 and something feet tall.

Below is my self portrait taken on top of the Space Needle. Yes I had to take my own picture because no one would go up to the top with me. That is our cruise ship in the background.

The picture below was taken in Port Alberni BC. One of my fav ports even though it is a very small logging town. The town went all out for us, there hadn't been a cruise ship in port for 7 years. They had live music all day playing in the key, dance recitals and vintage car show.

Port Alberni

Port Angeles

Charlotte here is the Twilight store in Port Angeles where Brinton spent 8 months of his mission. There isn't a lot in Port Angeles but it is beautiful.

This is the Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria. It was built in 1890. We toured the castle. They are presently redoing all of the landscaping. Loved it!

The best sign ever for a fish market found in Port Alberni. The "Cod-father". Steve found this.

When we were in Port Alberni down at the key watching the local entertainment the guys wanted to head back to the ship. Judy and I decided to hang around town for awhile. On our way back to the ship the steam engine train was stopping down by the pier to let a group off and pick up another. The train ran up to the saw mill. We got the great idea to put pennies on the track. I ran over to one of the train porters and asked him if it would be alright to do that. He said do it 50 yards down and stand back. We were having a great time and put out about 10 pennies. Afterwards we were trying to find them all and a young man came over and asked if we would put some of them back on the track and could he take our picture because he said we looked like we were having a great time. When he found out we were from AZ he was so excited because we were foreigners! Most of the people on the cruise were in fact Canadians. Then he told us he was with the paper and he wanted to put us in it.

See the pennies?

These are Canadian pennies.
Good times! Noodle salad!

I love the pictures of your cruise. They are beautiful. It looks like it was a great time. I especially loved the story about putting the pennies on the train track. It is strange what "foriegners" will do!
