Kya's Resort

Some of you know that Steve has had a health issue for the last 4 months. He has had a pretty severe cough that he has been unable to get rid of even with the help of his doctor.
He finally went to see a pulmonologist last week. The pulmonologist feels that his cough could be linked to my African Grey Parrot, Kya. They release a toxin into the air that some people can not tolerate. He suggested that we move Kya out of the house for thirty days to test this theory. If Kya is the culprit Steve wil recover completely!
I was very concerned because a parrot is a big responsibility and I didn't know what to do with her. I didn't want it to be to traumatic for her or for those who would be taking care of her. Brinton and Charlotte offered to take her and if you know Charlotte you know she was really going above and beyond for her mother-in-law. Trey and Jenna offered to take her and I was set on driving her to Flagstaff Saturday when I ran into a lady at the tack store who told me Cage World has outdoor aviaries for sale. I decided to take a look. Steve and I were very impressed... I decided to just do it! Less trauma for Kya to move once outside at her own home with the same ole people, dogs and routine.
Today was her first day in her aviary and she loved it. I'm a little concerned how she will do tonight in the cold. I was told she should do just fine.
Thank you to my sons and their wives for offering to help me with Kya. You know I love her and I hope you know how much I LOVE YOU all!
