Making Christmas Cookies with Brexton

Last night I babysat Brexton, Nixin and Cote. Cote had a friend staying the night so he was occupied. Brexton and G-Mama made sugar cookies and we had lots of fun. They tasted good too!

Gingerbread Houses and Zoolights

We had loads of fun making gingerbread houses with all of our grandkids.

Didn't they do a great job? Thanks to my mom, Ina, for starting this Christmas tradition, first with her children (that would be Paul, Rhonda and Craig) then with our children, her grandchildren (Justin, Jeni, Brinton and Trey, Miranda, Hannah and Josh) now my grandchildren, her great grandchildren!
After gingerbread houses we all went to Zoolights, another tradition started by my Mom. She has been a Phoenix Zoo volunteer for many years. How many Mom? We are so lucky to have such a special lady who enjoys life and loves her family. I hope these family traditions carry on for generations to come. Nixin Loie Colburn - Blessing

Today Nixin was blessed by her father Brinton Colburn and it was a beautiful blessing. Nixin is wearing the dress that Charlotte wore when she was blessed. She was a very good girl, not happy for this picture because we unwrapped her warm and toasty blanket. Loved the pink shoes!

At Last - Riding Psynna

The wait is over! I'm finally riding my baby girl Psynna. This is actually my third ride in our arena. I haven't taken her out on the trail yet, we are still getting used to each other. She is doing very well. She is very light in the briddle and moves off of leg pressure. Her "whoa" is great and she backs nicely. It is fun to work with her, we will have good times in the years to come.

Happy Birthday Brexton

Brexton turned 3 on October 22nd. He got this new BMX bike and he said it goes FAST! He was such a little man at his party. He wanted to read all his cards before opening his gifts. Lots of love and thank you's. We love ya Brexton! Oh yes,Charlotte's cake balls were to die for, I'm hooked!

Nixin Comes Home

Brinton and Charlotte brought Nixin home. Does Charlotte look like she delivered a baby just 28 hours ago? She is AWESOME! Finally in the PINK!
Papa Steve thinks Nixin is perfect and he is so thankful as we all are.
Great Grandma Ina and G-Mama took Cote and Brexton to build a bear. Cote made Kung Fu Coyote, Brexton made Batman Bear and both Cote and Brexton made Purrfect Presley the PINK leopard for their little sister Nixin. Ummm Cote what were you trying to do behind Brexton's head? Gotcha.
After Build a Bear it was off to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch. We sure had a fun day and we are sure that Great Grandma Ina came along!

She's Here! Nixin Loie Colburn

So here she is my first beautiful granddaughter! Did I say she was beautiful? She was born to Brinton and Charlotte Colburn 10-16-2008 at 12:20 PM. Weighing in at a svelte 8lbs 11oz and 21 inches long. Look at that dark hair, Brexton and Cote were blond.Charlotte and Nixin are doing well.

G-Mama with big bro Brexton. He wasn't so sure at first but then he wanted to check her out. She looks like Brexton, especially some of her facial expressions.
