Psynna inTraining

The top two pictures are Psynna with Vaughn. He has been riding Psynna for her trainer Dave Rossiter, putting the miles on. Those of you who know Psynna know she isn't a big horse. Vaughn weighs 205 lbs. She carries him just fine, she does brace herself when he mounts or dismounts. He asked me what her name was...I said Psynna, to which he replied ..."Oh, we just call her the A-Rab (Arab). She's the only one in our line up. She is still a little pistol!
This is Psynna's trainer Dave Rossiter. I am pleased with the progress he has made with her. She is still green and needs a lot of work and repetition. He tells me she is smart and likes to learn new things and be ridden. We have decided she will be with him for two more weeks and the first weekend in October I will take his clinic and we will see how I feel about taking her home. Dave will be able to assess how I'm doing with her as far as my ability during that clinic.
Dave is asking Psynna to give a lateral bend which she does very well, in fact she kind of shows off.

It's a Party!

Steve and I are the Young Single Adult advisers for our ward. Friday we went to Joe's Bar-B-Q , a past family favorite eatery in Gilbert, then we went bowling............that's Kory in the green.

Steve showing nice form. Rhonda's first ball found her sliding Superman style down the alley! Yes, this was in front of all the single adults present. Every time I looked at Kory Bennet he was laughing so hard he was crying....Thanks Kory. The one good thing was I am the one usually taking pictures, therefore No evidence. Oh yes, I did happen to have high score (redemption).

Good times noodle salad!

Another Boy!

Scott and Carrie are having a baby boy! He should arrive around Feb. 1,2009. We are very excited for Scott, Carrie and Martin. I can't believe that between Steve and I we will have seven little grandsons and one little princess by Feb. 2009.

They have another new addition to their family, Brudy, he also happens to be male. Carrie is seriously outnumbered. To check out Brudy and baby boy Gunnell see the link to their blog.

Papa's New Zip Line

Papa made a new zipline for the grandkids and boy did he do a really good job! It goes from the back of our house to the haystack by the horse corrals. Cote was the first to ride it without the seat-not pictured.
Brexton rode it over and over, it wasn't long till he was riding it all by himself and loving it!
Cole was one of the first to try. He just wanted to ride it again and again and again. My turn next!
Crew rode the zip line once but he was more interested in shooting his bow and arrow. Papa has a target set up and Crew hit it most of the time. He really concentrates.

Volcum and Shelly

Volcum is Cote's desert tortoise (on the left) and Shelly is mine. They are eating everything insight preparing for hibernation around Halloween. Their favorite delicacy -hibiscus flowers.
